INJURY AND ILLNESS EVALUATION, MANAGEMENT, AND FOLLOW-UP CARE.

Our goal is to keep your employees in the work force, or to return them to the work force as soon as is appropriate. By having Midlands Occupational Medicine actively manage your employee injuries and illnesses early on in the process, we can greatly reduce the risk of those injuries and illnesses turning into chronic, long term, or permanent absences from your work force. This has the potential of saving you a great deal of expense in the long run.


PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND PERIODIC EMPLOYEE PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
Many employers want to make sure their top performing employees remain healthy throughout their careers. Annual physical examination and evaluation, along with patient education, can help to ensure that your star performers meet the demands of their careers over the long haul.

Also, in today's litigious society, it may be prudent to review a job candidate's physical abilities up front to see if they have any pre-existing injuries or limitations that they may be trying to conceal from you, and later blame on you.

In general, keeping your work force healthy will pay you great dividends by reducing expenses and increasing productivity.


OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE PLACEMENT.
We have extensive experience in occupational health nursing and we employ occupational health nurses at industrial work sites. Occupational health nurses manage injuries and provide employee health training as well as many other responsibilities, which help increase the health and productivity of the work force.


URINE DRUG SCREENING
Pre-employment or periodic drug screening on your job candidates and employees. Employees need to know that you are serious about them taking care of themselves and exercising good judgement.


BLOOD SCREENING
Blood testing done at discounted contract prices. Tests include complete blood profiles, as well as review of cholesterol, blood sugar levels, and heavy metals. Any blood test or screen can be done at your request.


HEARING SCREENS
Performed as a part of a pre-employment check or done annually to make sure your company is not contributing to any hearing loss.


SPIROMETRY
Pre-employment or periodic lung capacity testing.


CARDIAC STRESS TESTING
Many employers are sending their prized workers to have stress testing performed as a proactive preventative health benefit.


RADIOGRAPHY
We are able to diagnose and review injuries with our in-house x-ray equipment. Also available, chest x-rays for asbestos screening, evaluation or review.


OSHA CERTIFIED
All equipment used is OSHA certified. All occupational health nurses and technicians are OSHA certified in the testing and services that they provide.


RESPIRATORY FIT

Five of our staff professionals are certified in respiratory fit.
